I went out on Friday with Glasgow band Annie Stevenson to take some promo shots, unfortunately their bass player couldn’t make it so the pics are not that much use, but I like how some of them came out.

Model Mayhem
I joined up this site called Model Mayhem a while back, it’s a networking site for photogs, models & makeup artists. Anyway, a long time after joining up, I eventually arranged my first shoot through it with a girl named Sarah, these, are some of the results.

I received a last minute offer of a T in the park guestlist, so went along on sunday with mu OM2 and shot a couple of rolls of film at what turned out to be the sunniest day of the weekend. The first lomo film I’ve tried, quite like they way it came out.

Song of Return
Last night saw Detour go mental professional. Filming a pilot for a potential TV show, they had a pretty phenomenal line-up.
Song of Return headlined the show and were incredible. An amazing ending to a fantastic night.

a wee jaunt
Sunday saw an overturning of centuries of tradition. The day of rest was destroyed and replaced with unadulterated carnage in the shape of a shit-tonne of Detour & Bar Bloc. The Barents Sea
The Barents Sea supported The Xcerts at the Tolbooth in Stirling last week. I had seen the front man Grant perform solo acoustic before but was really blown away by the full band show. You should definitely check out a show if you get the chance.

There was no photo pit at this gig and the crowd were rammed to the front (with very good reason) so I was limited in terms of shooting angles.
It was a pretty special gig, first time I’ve seen The Xcerts despite having loved their debut album for a long time. New stuff sounds great, watch out for a new album in September.
